耶魯大學是一所坐落于美國康乃狄格州紐黑文市的私立大學，始創于1701年，初名“耶魯學院”。耶魯大學是美國歷史上建立的第三所大學，今為長青藤聯盟的成員之一。根據美國新聞與世界報告的一篇名為2008年世界最好大學的索引，耶魯在全球200所大學中排名第二。耶魯共有13個專業學院：建筑學院、藝術學院、神學院、戲劇學院、機械與應用科學學院、森林與環境環境研究學院、法學院、管理學院、醫學院、音樂學院、護理學院、公共健康學院、宗教音樂協會。在耶魯大學久負盛名的是它的本科學院、藝術與科學研究生學院、耶魯法學院。自從美國新聞與世界報告開始統計排名以來，耶魯法學院每年都排名第一。在1861年，其藝術與科學研究生院成為了第一個頒發博士學位的學院。同時，耶魯的戲劇學院也很有名，它培養了許多優秀的好萊塢或百老匯明星以及作家。同樣，其藝術、神學、森林與環境學、音樂、醫學、管理、護士和建筑學院也十分優秀。
